Listen to She & Him "Volume Two"

Exciting news for all you She & Him fans out there!! As most of you know their new album fittingly titled "Volume Two" doesn't officially come out until March 23rd, but you can now listen to the entire album here courtesy of npr music. Oooooh, let me introduce you to the loveliness that is Nataly Dawn, also the lead singer of Pomplamoose! I was first introduced to her by Adolescent Waves, the winner of my october contest, thank you friend. I fell in love with her Feist meets Regina Spektor-esque sound. Oh how lovely this little lady is, I just can't get enough. Sorry for the lack of posts lately, but I've found my way to Macau, China and I'm in love! Such an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. The people here are incredibly kind and there are many tiny shops and cafes lined on every street...more importantly, the food is unbelievable!!! I will post some pics up soon...but for now, enjoy this lovely tune. It'll make you smile a little bit I'm sure.

Allow me to present to you Emily Wells! I've always liked her music but when I saw her at the Folk Festival a few weekends ago, I fell in love. She's classically trained in the violin but loves to play around with cute/odd instruments like toy pianos, mallets and electronic synthesizers...her live sampling is MOST impressive! Xylophones mixed with a little hip hop influence? Looooooooove lovvve lovve. Take a listen for your self! Check out her myspace page here!

Chips Wow

Oh boy, another ukulele delight! Isn't she sweet like lollipops? I'll say. She reminds me a lot of the french singer Soko ...but less angry. haha. Check out Chips Wow on youtube here, I guarantee you'll be overwhelmed by cuteness. Awwww, I just want to put her in my pocket and take her with me everywhere I go. That would be nice.

OK something to rave about. You must (MUST) check out this amazing radio player I added to my sidebar.

Step 1: Grab a small snack and a tasty drink.

Step 2: Type in the name of one of your favorite artists and the audio player will magically generate a playlist streaming random tracks by that artist and similar ones as well.

Step 3: Take a bite of your snack.

Step 4: Allow song playing to commence.

Step 5: Gasp in amazement as your ears are filled with melodies that can only be described as positively delicious.
