Oh wow oh wow, I came across this through OutsaPop's blog and I just HAD to post it. You can find instructions on how to make it here. This is such an interesting looking skirt, you just KNOW people are going to ask you where you got it from...you reply: Oh this old thing? :) I want to try this but I'm lacking in the sewing machine department here in Macau but you should definitely give it a go! Happy sewing!
Update: I made one! click here to see.
Ok so i saw this in the Burberry line and loved it, then i saw the how-to on a blog who saw it on another blog, and now i saw it on yours. And i loved it more & more every time i saw it. great post :)

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing Connie, I can't wait to make one up myself!
Oooh, let me know what you come up with. Any ideas for colors?
ReplyDeleteCourtney, your profile pic is sooooo pretty!
ReplyDeleteI'm soo going to try this Connie! Thanks for the post! Goodness, I love your blog. <3 <3 hope Macao is treating you well!
ReplyDeletemackenzie CHU is that YOU? Lucky, I want to make this so badly. Maybe I can find a cheap sewing machine somewhere :) Make sure you show me the final product! I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI really want to try this, but I'm worried about how it's going to be fastened. I've never added a zipper or button to anything. When I make clothes (always skirts - LOL) I always go with elastic on the waistband.
